Barbados Landed Cost Calculator

Planning a purchase? Use the EvoGoBox Landed Cost Calculator to estimate freight, duty, VAT and applicable charges before ordering. Fort Lauderdale → Barbados — shown in Barbados dollars (BBD). Your purchase price is used to assess customs charges but is not added to the total due to EvoGoBox.

Shipment details

One total weight for the consolidated shipment — no box size, package measurements or dimensional weight. Freight is charged per pound of total shipment weight.

How many separate packages or orders do you expect to arrive at the EvoGoBox Fort Lauderdale warehouse?

From 14 September 2026, personal / non-commercial imports are assessed by Barbados Customs on the declared goods value only — EvoGoBox freight is still charged to you but is not added to the customs value. Goods for resale, business inventory or distribution must be declared as commercial.

This describes the importer, not the type of goods. Selecting anything other than “None” sends the estimate for manual review — no exemption is applied automatically.

Freight is tiered by billable weight: BBD $8.75/lb for 1–20 lb (minimum charge BBD $25.75), BBD $7.50/lb for 21–99 lb and BBD $6.00/lb for 100–218 lb. The tier rate applies to the whole shipment weight. Handling is BBD $20.00 for the first delivery plus BBD $5.00 for each additional delivery received. Freight is based on billable weight. Final freight may be based on actual or dimensional weight, whichever is greater.

Item categories & declared value

Group similar purchases together — you do not need to enter every individual item. Select up to 3 categories that best describe your order and enter the combined declared value for each group (e.g. Personal Care & Cosmetics — BBD $250, Clothing & Footwear — BBD $400). Duty rates come from the EvoGoBox duty matrix — you never enter a duty percentage.

Duty and VAT are calculated separately for each category using its applicable customs basis. Freight is allocated proportionally across categories where required.

How this calculation works

Freight is allocated to each category by its share of the total declared value, then duty and VAT are assessed per category using the EvoGoBox duty matrix. Personal / non-commercial shipments are valued on the declared goods value only, with freight charged separately; commercial shipments follow each category's commercial customs basis, where CIF adds the category's freight share. Low-value concession bands are tested against the whole shipment declared value (BBD $600.00), never a single line.
